Please be advised that the Annual Election of BMA officers will be held between Thursday, December 1, 2017 and Monday, December 11, 2017.
In preparation for the election, the BMA is requesting nominations from the BMA dues paying General Membership for the offices of President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, and Director-At-Large (4 seats). If you would like to nominate a fellow dues paying member, please submit your nominations to the Nomination Committee no later than 3:00 PM on Monday, November 20, 2017. Each nominee would have to be endorsed by at least three (3) dues paying members of the general membership and the nominee would have to consent to running for office. Any dues paying General Member not nominated, who wish to run for Office, may submit their nomination to the BMA Secretary/Treasurer (Steven Aragon) by the same deadline.
After the close of the nomination window, ballots listing the qualified nominees (in alphabetical order by last name) shall be delivered to each dues paying member by a method yet to be determined no later than December 1, 2017. The BMA board is considering electronic voting, but a decision has not been made yet. Once ballots are received you may cast your vote no later than 3:00PM on December 11, 2017. Ballot remittance instructions will be provided with the ballot delivery.
If you would like to nominate any dues paying member, please remit your nominee (after she/he has accepted the nomination and a total of three dues paying members endorsed the nominee) to any one of the members of this year’s Nomination Committee. This year’s Nomination Committee consists of Lee Morlet (ext. 3955), Susan Langford (ext. 5519), and Charles Peck (ext. 3717). They may be contacted by telephone, email, or in person.
